Creating Participatory Artistic Experiences: A Conversation with Maxime Touroute

As part of Kultuuriöö and the French Institute of Estonia’s Open Doors Day, discover the work of French artist Maxime Touroute, whose practice explores the relationship between artistic creation, immersive technologies, and audience participation.

During this 90-minute masterclass, Maxime Touroute will present his artistic journey, creative approach, and several of his flagship projects before opening the discussion to the audience. Participants will also have the opportunity to experience an augmented reality demonstration.

The masterclass also serves as an introduction to Let’s Draw, his participatory installation presented later that evening as part of Kultuuriöö, Tallinn’s Night of Culture. At the Kultuuriöö Main Stage at Patarei, outside the courtyard area, on the wall of the seaside courtyard, the installation will transform the public space into a large shared drawing surface where anyone interested can join in and draw in real time.
